This was a new residential development, containing two, three bedroom houses in Leicester city centre.

Hazelton Homes Ltd create high quality housing and apartments in the Midlands. BWP Plastering Services Ltd were contracted to undertake the dry lining, insulation and plastering packages throughout. The client wanted to produce high quality homes for modern city living.

We had worked alongside the client under other contractors on previous projects and Hazelton Homes Ltd sought BWP Plastering Services Ltd for this project due to our reputation for uncompromised quality and efficiency. We provided a team of three boarders/fixers and a team of three plasterers who worked in conjunction with one another to make sure the project stayed on schedule and was finished to a high standard. As this was a new development, the project went smoothly and was delivered on time and on budget. The client requested a turnaround of six weeks for the plastering package to be delivered.

The building comprised of block and brick build. Metal partitions were installed upstairs to create four separate rooms consisting of three bedrooms and one bathroom. Metal encasements were formed around all service pipes and an additional shower encasement was formed in order to make the space fit the desired aesthetic. The structure downstairs was formed from breeze block walls. We installed 100mm APR installation to all ceilings as well as the roof space in order to provide the space with the desired acoustic performance. We were contracted to fire board all steels within the building in order to provide the required fire rating for building regulations. All ceilings were then tacked with standard 12.5mm ceiling plasterboard's. All block walls were dot and dabbed with 12.5mm wall boards and the ceilings and walls were plastered throughout.
