Psalter Lane, Sheffield

This was our first project for Pure Basement Systems who provide transform basement spaces, converting them into rooms or dwellings.

Pure Basement Systems required BWP Plastering Services Ltd Ltd to dry line and plaster a basement conversion in order for it to be used as a living space. The client required a quick turn around and the job was completed within seven days.

The process was relatively simple with the walls being lined with metal studs and insulated.
We then proceeded to fire line all existing ceilings with a 12.5mm 8x4 fire resistant plasterboard and box in any existing steels in order to give the required one hour fire rating. We then boarded out all metal lined walls with 12.5mm plasterboard.

As it was a basement conversion there was some areas that required us to dot and dab onto the wall membrane, with board adhesive. Once dabbed, the adhesive required a day to dry out prior to setting beads to all corners and reveals, scrim taping all board joints and plastering all ceilings and walls.
